Bill Remmert, a Birmingham native and Auburn University Engineering major, purchased Montgomery Woodworks in 1989 with a vision to grow the company. After just six years the company needed more space. In 1995, Bill moved the company across town to its current location on Kauloosa Avenue.
The past two decades have brought many changes. The company has transformed from a local residential cabinet, specialty lumber and hardware supplier into a full- service woodwork and millwork shop serving both residential and commercial markets across the Southeast.
On the eve of the year anniversary of the 2011 tornado, the name of the company was changed to Remmert & Company to better reflect our vision and company culture. Remmert & Company is a family, not only from the perspective of the members of Bill’s family who are on staff but of the company as a whole. Each of our names are behind everything we do.
Bill is very active within his Church and is a past President of the Tuscaloosa Business Exchange.
