As president, I wear many hats of course. But typical day-to-day tasks include estimating, sales, engineering, and purchasing materials.
History with the Company
I started working here during the summers when I was 11. I would cut grass and sweep the floors. After college (earned a degree in Building Science from Auburn University), I worked in Houston for a general contractor for four years. When the tornado of 2011 destroyed my parents’ business, I moved back to Tuscaloosa to help them rebuild.
Why Architectural Millwork
When I went to college, I had intentions of a career in medicine. But I just love working with my hands. I love seeing a project from design to finish…then seeing it installed. I get great satisfaction from it.
I love doing custom work. Knowing it is a one-time thing and that we will probably never do anything like it again makes it fun and exciting for me.
Helping my parents rebuild their business after the tornado and then seeing it grow the past five years has been very rewarding to me.
My wife and I went to high school together here in Tuscaloosa. We both went on to Auburn University and later married and moved to Houston. When we returned to Tuscaloosa after the tornado, we started our family and now have three young sons under the age of 7.
Most people don’t know that I have hit a hole-in-one on a par-4 course.
