Meet the Owners
President & CEO
Luke Remmert started his career in the construction industry as a young boy when he mowed the grass and swept the shop floor of his father’s millwork business. Those hands-on skills learned early have helped shape the hands-on leadership skills that he is known for today.
After a brief stint preparing for a career in medicine, Luke went with his intuition and directed his focus on the Building Science curriculum at Auburn University. After graduation he served as an estimator and project manager for a major construction firm before being called home to help his father in his millwork company.
Today Luke is President and CEO of Remmert & Company, and has helped grow the company into one of the largest architectural millwork firms in the Southeast. His wife and four children keep him plenty busy during off hours. He also serves as a board member for the Alabama Associated Builders and Contractors organization (ABC).
Executive Vice President
Barry came to Remmert & Company in 2010 as a project manager in the quickly expanding Atlanta market. Today, Remmert’s business in the Atlanta Metro contributes more than thirty percent of the company’s gross revenue.
The preparation for his career in construction began after Barry received an undergraduate business degree from the University of Georgia and a Master’s degree from Georgia State. After starting a career in sales soon after graduation, he was brought on by Remmert & Company to help service and expand Remmert & Company’s new Atlanta market. In 2015 Barry was called to Tuscaloosa to manage Remmert’s project management and installation teams.
Barry is now Executive Vice President, COO and partner in the business, effectively splitting the duties of running the company with President, CEO Luke Remmert. He and his wife Lucy have four children and Barry enjoys spending time with them and coaching their sports teams.
